On the auspicious day of Karwa chauth, my social media timeline was filled with images of beautiful faces donning their best traditional attire & henna-ed hands. All faces had a divine glow & exuberant smile despite being famished & thirsty since the dawn. I mean who else can do this for someone who was not even in your life few years ago than an Indian woman.
Frankly, even I found it illogical & a tad regressive. Why only the husband should be blessed with long life, not a wife? Maybe because he would find another one to pray for his long life? Why this festival can’t be for the longevity of marital relationship than giving immortal status to one of the partners? No matter how logical we are or how technically advanced we become when it comes to good old traditions & love… we defy all logic & follow our heart :).
The day after Karwa Chauth is tricky one. The husband is still dawdling in the dream land where the wife is touching his feet & obeying him without a question while the wife is fighting the hangover of prolonged starvation & overdose of oil-laden food she stuffed herself with afterwards. We decided to put all this to rest & ventured out…
South Korea turns into a visual extravaganza during Autumn. The vibrant hues of fall leaf in all conceivable shades of red, orange, yellow, brown & everything in between with the sharp contrast of blue ocean water is a sight to behold.
We went to Yin Sun-Sin Park in Tongyeong. It’s a coastal city in the Southern Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. It has many beautiful parks, Mountain Trails & beaches. This was our third trip to the city yet we couldn’t get enough of it. The transformation has just started. We shall come back after few weeks to watch the place in it’s full autumn glory :)
GN was most excited for the trip. After all it was the best opportunity to test our new acquisition, Nikon D7200 ( Yay! finally, we bought it after long debates, seeking opinions & reading unlimited reviews :) )

Junior was in his playful self, unaware & unaffected by the bewitching natural beauty surrounding him :)
My Sugarbun was humming a song, may be admiring the delightful day in her own unique way :)
What’s life without having near & dear ones around? We found a loving family to share our merry times with when we arrived in Korea. Since the day we met, we have been spending practically every vacation together. It’s such a fun each time. While the boys get busy with their own stuff, we girls spend hours gossiping & giggling :D.
Girls had super fun
