We all live life in a bubble or at least I think I do. We create an invisible armor around us protecting us from the rest of the world & from ourselves. We happily float in this bubble at times forgetting that it is fragile. It would burst with the slightest of brush or evaporate into thin air once the things around us heat up.Still we love to live in our bubbles.
We try to squeeze in everyone & everything that matter to us into our tiny space. We want to hold them so tight that sometimes our grip suffocates them. We ignore. We call it love, care & what not. After all it is our bubble, our creation, our world. It runs on our rules & conditions.
We fear all the time. We are afraid that some day when we wake up, it would be nowhere to be found. The scorching rays of the sun would penetrate deep into our flesh. We will be exposed in front of the whole world.Stark naked. There would be no hiding, no place to run.
We think what would happen if someone would take over? Dictating our every move, keeping an eye on every morsel that we eat, every breath we take. Will that be acceptable?Bubbles , just a thin layer yet so powerful, so cozy. We protect them, nurture them but they burst exposing our vulnerable selves, our weaknesses, our wounds.
Bubbles, we create them but when they burst they destroy us. Why create them? why confine ourselves into a cramped space that would deform us or hardly give us a space to spread our wings & let our thoughts flow. Let there be no bubble, no restrictions, no boundaries, no fear.
Why not burst these bubbles ourselves before someone else does it. Why not breath a little more, stretch our arms & touch lives. The bubble is a bondage, a false sense of security. A delusion that feed on our fears. Let’s be fearless. Burst these bubbles.May be one at a time!
