Busan International Fireworks Festival

Busan International Fireworks Festival, luckily, is celebrated around the same time as Diwali. Indians living in Busan, Geoje & other nearby places come to the city of Busan to witness this spectacle miss everything about your home when you are away. This is somewhat whats happening with us. Diwali the festival of light brings joy & togetherness. This is our first Diwali outside India. Naturally, we were missing the festivities, lights, fireworks, Sweets & our family n friends. So what do we do? We try to find our little heaven in everything around us!

Busan is 1 1/2 hr drive from Geoje island. You can either hire a taxi or take a bus from Goheyon bus terminal. If you are taking your car, make sure you reach the venue well before time. It is quite hard to find a parking during the festival time.

Nature changes its palette to warm hues on the onset of winter. Browns, earthy reds, darker shades of green & lot more. Wild Berries looks so tempting ………

Spectators said to be around 2-3 million, gather at the venue way ahead of the event time securing a place to sit. ( hoping to secure a prime spot )

BUSAN INTERNATIONAL FIREWORKS FESTIVAL

They come equipped with camping gear, folding chairs, mates & loads of food and beverages. It becomes a picnic of sorts.

Finally, after a long wait of 2 hours, the fireworks start at 20.00 pm and goes on for good 60 minutes.
