Mother caught trying to sell girl’s virginity
A woman in Mumbra has been arrested for trying to sell her 13-year-old daughter’s virginity for Rs 1 lakh. The woman was apprehended on Sunday after social workers got wind of the horrendous offer and set a trap for her along with Thane Crime Branch officials.
The girl lived in a building in Mumbra and at first, said she would cost Rs 3 lakh for the night.
“He said that buyers were free to do whatever they desired with the girl. He also said that the girl had just attained puberty and would be delivered only after her period ended in three to four,”
“There are thousands of such minors who are forced to become mere objects for perverts. We have to ensure that this lot is removed from society.”
Where are we heading as a human?
Today was just another day for me until I picked up today’s newspaper, I was shell-shocked, to say the least. A chill run down my spine when I went further into the details. A mother trying to sell her girl. My eyes still couldn’t believe. I tried hard to search if she was a relative or a stepmother. But she was her REAL mother, carried her in her womb for nine months, fed her, sang lullabies for her, she was trying to sell her. Sigh.
I am traumatized by the mere thought of the horrendous act. Being a mother myself, I would not tolerate even a finger pointed towards my kids, let alone allowing any dirt near them. What kind of society are we becoming? Call this lot animals, but please don’t insult animals. Even animals fight to protect their kids. They have emotions & sense of parenting. And here we human, one of us was trying to sell offspring like a bloody piece of meat.
A child looks up to his/her parents for love, care, protection & security. When parents themselves become predators where the child will go. I can’t imagine what kind of trauma that girl must be going through. This is even serious than rape. No outsiders were involved. They should be punished, at earliest, with harshest of punishment.
I feel devoid of any emotion at this point. Anger, frustration, angst can’t describe it, It has gone beyond that.
I sincerely appeal to everyone who so ever is reading this post , don’t close your eyes when u see a crime happening , don’t shut your ears when u hear a cry for help , don’t move away from a situation saying it’s not your business , stay , intervene , you might save an innocent life . Our government & system has failed. Lets just not fail ourselves. Let’s not behave like human robots, SEE, HEAR, FEEL ACT. DO SOMETHING ………………
