The former President Of India, APJ Abdul Kalam passes away on 27th July 2015. He had gone to Meghalaya to deliver a speech at IIM Shillong. He was 83. The cause of death is said to be cardiac arrest.
Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam or APJ Abdul Kalam was the 11th president of India. He hailed from a poor family. He hailed from Rameswaram in Tamilnadu. His father, A Tamil Muslim, was a boat owner & mother was a housewife. He had to start working at an early age in order to support his family. From such a humble background to President of India, He had lived a life worth thousand lives.
APJ Abdul Kalam earned a moniker of The Missile Man Of India for his work on the development of ballistic missile & launch Vehicle technology. His popularity among youngsters made him an icon, a person every youngster wanted to be. He was also fondly called The People’s President.
APJ Abdul Kalam’s life is a true example for determination & perseverance. He had exemplified the saying that ‘ No difficulty is greater than a man’s will’. He crossed every hurdle, faced every difficulty & rose from nowhere to becoming The President Of India.
Kalam was a reluctant politician but an extraordinary leader. He showed how a true leader should be, leading by an example. We lack such intellect & vision in Our political scenario His major focus was to tap the youth power & divert it to productive growth. He was always accessible to people. He seamlessly mingled with people, inspiring them, motivating them. He remained active on social media till the last day.
