1. Tell us a little about yourself. We will love to know you more!
Thanks for having me over Garima. It’s wonderful to be over at your blog. :)
Prior to being a full-time writer, I was a teacher and also worked as an administrator in a school. I also have the experience of counselling students and guiding them in life. Perhaps, that laid down the foundation for me becoming a blogger. :)
2. Describe yourself in one line.
A person who believes in doing good for others and helping them in whatever way possible.
3. What are the most important accomplishments in your life/career?
Switching over to the online world and starting my career as a freelance writer, and then starting my first blog were something that I can never forget. That was a huge step for me, as it’s not easy to shift to a new professional career when you are already set doing something you like doing. That was indeed my most important accomplishment in my career.
It was important for me because I wanted to change over to be able to take out time to be with my growing kid’s that time. I am glad I did and there’s been no looking back thereafter as one thing led to another. I received numerous awards within the first year of my blogging, and soon I got universal recognition as a blogger and commentator.
Lately, my blog Aha!NOW was awarded as one of the topmost self -development blogs, and there are many other recognitions, which are all listed on my About page. So, when your blog or your work is recognised, it does make you feel good, isn’t it?
Last but not the least, it is the starting off the Aha!NOW Blog Community, fondly called as The ABC, and this has really added a new dimension to blogging for me. The success of the ABC is my most cherished event in my blogging career. I would invite you and your readers to join the community with a difference, as it is a real community with real people, with a very active forum!
4. What motivates you to chase your dream?
It’s the drive to learn and do something new each day, to reach out to people, to connect with new and old friend’s, to help them in whatever way I can. I am glad I am able to do that through my blog and the ABC too.
5. How has been your journey so far?
I can’t say my journey’s been smooth but I can definitely say it’s been a nice one! I’ve enjoyed the bumpy ride along with all the challenges and obstacles. But I’ve learnt to adjust myself to the ever-rising learning curve! In my over four years of blogging career, I’ve learnt new things at an unprecedented pace, which feels more like being back to school, with new lessons to learn every day! Nothing could be better – love and live life, appreciating each passing moment!
6. What do you see yourself doing five years from now?
Blogging further, though more into teaching others how to blog, through new ventures I’m planning now. There is always something new we keep doing at our blog, and this Summer, we are chalking out new strategies for our blog.
7. If given a chance, what’s one change that you would like to see in this world & why?
IF is a big word here! If that was to happen, I’d love to remove a little bit of the poverty that prevails in most countries, and help the women to come out of their shells and lead a life for themselves.
Thanks so much for this wonderful opportunity, Garima :)
