Teddy Bear Museum in Gyeongju, South Korea is one of a kind attraction. It’s not usual ‘Just-cute-teddy-bears-on -display’ place. The organizers have put a lot pf thought & efforts to make it a lively & likable place for kids and adults alike. It also happens to be one of the most visit places in Gyeongju. ( I surely second the thought)
Usually whenever we plan a trip, we keep in consideration that kids are kept entertained. We try to mix places of historical importance, famous tourist destinations with places where kids can enjoy. Glad we found this place, Teddy Bear Museum. It turned out to be the most loved place by kids. Mission successful :)
Teddy Bear is majorly divided into five parts…..
2. Under The Sea
3. The Silla Era
4. Art Gallery
5. 3D Movie theater & Teddy Bear shop
Without much ado, let’s take a look. ( Guess what, I was hoping from one display to another excited like a kid. Some places have that effect on you :D )
As soon as you enter the museum, you will be welcomed by roaring dinosaurs & cute little teddy bears trying to control these giants. It’s such a delightful site that you would instantly chuckle.
Look at the one hanging onto the dino’s tail….
Guess Stephen Speilberg can make another installment of “Jurrasic Park -With Teddy Bear”. I am sure it’s gonna be a roaring hit ;)
Men err teddy bears at work :D
Kids will enjoy watching moving dinosaurs & tiny bears working around the monster.
Underwater World Exhibition
I had my ‘aww’ moment right here. Look at these super cute penguins, Walrus & sea lion. :)
A scene straight from the movie ‘ the little mermaid’ ……..
Flying fishes….anyone :D
The Shilla Kingdom Exhibition
This exhibition is in the basement section of the museum after the underwater exhibition. You can see mechanically moved teddy bears constructing a temple.
Bowing before the Budha. Don’t miss the ‘one’ holding a hi-tech DSLR right before the Budha statue. Super cute :)
I hope I could employ these cuddle-worthy workers for constructing my house……..
For once, I didn’t have to plead the kids to pose for a pic. They gladly did :D
Teddy Bear Art Gallery
Now my ‘favorite part of the museum’ – The Art Gallery
It has ‘Teddy Bear Version’ of famous greek & roman sculptures.
You will find many antique teddy bears or their replicas here. Nice to know that even Teddy bears have a history!
3D Movie theater & Teddy Bear Souvenir shop
Finally, the souvenir shop stuffed with teddy bears in all conceivable size & characters present in the museum. You can’t exit without owing one. ( not that you want to…but kids won’t leave without having one :D )
My two munchkins happy & smiling. ( Made my day :) )
How could I forgo a photo op with the cutest teddy I have just encountered? Chin-to-chin, look straight into the camera & ISSSMILEEE ;).
